This is a 'nameless' post. I cannot
bring myself to name it. If you ask me why, I could quickly crumble into a heap
of tears (I don't care if this doesn't sound right!) and bawl my heart
out.
Remember my previous post about
having a pet? Well, just my luck that my folks back home decided to finally
give the nod to welcome a cute little Labrador pup. This was to be my sister's
25th birthday surprise and believe me when I say I was jealous for the very
first time! I even ranted at my father saying he had to wait till I get married
and then agree for a dog! Were they not listening when I begged for one as
well? But not everything ends well, does it? We had the pup for a mere seven
days. A cute little beige Labrador, we called Bolt. He was jumpy, nippy, cuddly
and so much more.
But god had different plans. Simply a
week later the pup left us. Stopped breathing after a bout of ill health. Just
when we thought he was recovering, he gave up. I wasn't around when they buried
him. All his things - toys, food, the little blanket mom made him from her
saree, have been stashed away.
I feel I have been scarred for
life.
Hey sorry to hear that. But the same thing happened with us too. Our adorable labrador pup "Dolcy" stayed with us for 20 days only :(
ReplyDeleteI tell you this foreign breeds are bloody weak 7 fragile. V c so many stray dogs without food and shelter around and they go on to live for quite long.
Gosh, Nikita, I wish you peace and strength. I am sure you'll heal soon, my prayers with you.
ReplyDeleteomg nikita..im so sorry..must be terrible, will pray for you and hope the little one rests in peace. :)
ReplyDeleteNikita,
ReplyDeleteI am so sad to hear that. I can well understand as they become just like family members. We have seen 3 of them go at different times and though they were grown up it still hurt. They need care just like children when young and later as old. One has to be careful about all vaccinations. Hope you bring another one soon. I have been suggesting Bloggers Meet. How about organizing it? My id is in my profile.
Take care

Not sure how soon we will welcome another pet home, but I definitely want one! And yes, let's plan a meet so that all of us can finally catch up!

im really sorry.. having had pet dogs since the age of 5, I know the pain of losing them... I know how sad you will feel and how emotionally scarring it is, but I really wish you get a new pet dog some day. The amount of love you receive from them everyday is something that cant be experienced
